Northern Emerald-Toucanet Aulacorhynchus prasinus

Northern Emerald-Toucanet
Northern Emerald-Toucanets (Aulacorhynchus prasinus) are omnivorous, feeding mainly on fruit, but also on smaller vertebrates and arthropods. This one is not chewing on a snake, but on a young shoot of Dahlia imperialis (Asteraceae), seen in a highland forest of Guatemala.
